great thread.
i have three pairs, all different colored mexicos.
i purchased all three pairs very cheaply at urban outfitters. (20$ each onsale)
i find that the tigers have very good traction in the snow. i feel as sure footed as a mountain goat! seriously.
i just threw out my original pair actually, as it was super worn out. i think it was a great value.
i wish i had the yellow and black "kill bill" tigers.

I'm fairly certain this is the style of shoe that the cheerleaders at my school wear... of course, they all have doctor/lawyer/biz people parents, so it's likely

I have two pairs of Gantrais: tan w/ brown stripes (synthetic leather) and brown on brown (real leather). I think it's cool that most Gantrais are non-leather. I also own some Ultimate 81s.
