Post a Totally Random Moment From Fashion History...

When Pierre Cardin called Karl a monkey and Anna Piaggi a clown. It sounds like Karl was about to give Cardin a beatdown.

(We could really have a whole thread titled "Post a totally random moment from Karl Lagerfeld's life," honestly...)

Edmonde Charles-Roux (VP Editor from 1950 to 1966) getting fired for wanting to put Donyale Luna on the cover of Vogue Paris.

Is that Pinault in the back?
Yes, François Sr.
Remember that Karl was a friend of Bernadette Chirac. And the Chirac were close friends of the Pinault.

Seriously, we can do a whole thread with Karl’s direct or indirect antics like @blueorchid suggested lol.

And when Nancy White was only able to put her on the cover of Bazaar as a whitewashed illustration. Interestingly, she was on the cover of Elle in 1966 (with Jill Kennington).

Gotta say, this video is what got me into fashion. I remember seeing the the MTV "Making of the Music Video" special for this followed by the world premier of the video and I had never seen anything so creative at that time in my life, and when Gwen Stefani mentioned she was wearing John Galliano for Dior Couture, I went straight to Google after watching the episode and wound up on dior.com, watched the Fall/Winter 2004 Couture video...and well...here we are 20 years later!
