thanks gius~!
what color did you dye your yarn?
the great shibori experiment is underway...
well- it's some plain indigo dyeing and shibori...
results-
the socks turned out really well...
*i did about a dozen- all different...
i did about 5 tops using all different resist methods...
*all turned out much better than i ever could have hoped!
then i did a bunch of tops plain indigo...
and did some binding/resist tests with some white napkins in preparation for the pillowcases and sheets...
those results really varied...
binding sheets is going to be a major effort and challenge...
wanted to get the hang of things before attempting it...
now i am sore all over...
exhausted but pleased with the results so far...
i expect to have another two or three days of dyeing ahead of me though...
*and the weather is NOT cooperating...
rain yesterday and rain tomorrow...
so i can't keep anything outdoors overnight...
...
oh well---
at least it's turning out well...
*i spent days and days reading and researching before i even started tying anything...
and then i spent days and days experimenting with tying and binding...
it's been quite an adventure so far...
