I like this, except for the third look. It looks very cozy, and the fabric looks quite nice. The scarf and sweater in the fourth look make me want to curl up and go to sleep.
the designer behind G.V.G.V is Mug. she was born in 1971 and started the brand in 1999.
S/S 05 pictures from the runway posted in Tokyo collection thread seem to have gone unfortunatly because the site is no more. but you can see some pieces from the stores there.
the popular Tokyo labels, like Limi, these days are relatively lower-priced.
Thanks for posting, runner. I think some of it bears a strong resemblance to Gaultier (specifically the looks in #3), which for me is unexpected, in a Japanese collection. Can't say I like it though.
yeah...well...it's like night and day...literally...
the spring collections was incredibly light and airy...
and the fall collection is dark and heavy...
i definitely liked spring more...
what do you think runner?...
"dark and heavy" is okay with me, but some looks are a bit dull.
I have to see the rest of the collection though.
maybe what she tried to do this time is too much for the price range?
yes..maybe runner...i think she tried to make it rich and elegant..but i don't think the fabrics are working...especially-the brocade of the last jacket/dress(#4) you posted looks rather flimsy...
and i don't understand the silhouettes...big and bulky or tight and curvy...
maybe -as you say- it will make more sense and come together when i see more...
anyway...thanks for the images..
i'm looking forward to seeing the rest later...
