What to wear when going from a day event to evening

Hi
I need major help first problem I. Had a major break out so I want to wear a baseball hat! I am going to a convention & then going straight to a dinner with the whole company .it's a sporting company so semi casual any help would be greatly appreciated

Id say it depends on what are you gonna do at the convention. Conventions to me means pants, especially if you have to go all over the place so jeans + white tee + smart jacket would do it. And for evening a cocktail dress. Still you could still keep the same look and change accesories (and bag) and wear heels and do a bit more nigh makeup and pull it off
