A regular AnOther magazine contributor, Camille Bidault-Waddingon makes her photographic debut for the AnOther website in her straight-to-web fashion shoot, depicting the visually pleasing world of a young woman in a grandmother’s idiosyncratic Parisian apartment. "My approach to photography is the same as my approach to styling: it needs to be spontaneous, free, and strange," says Bidault-Waddington. Indeed, whether it be the antique furniture ("a bit posh and a bit bonkers"), or the simple, retro-inspired pieces from the Celine and Miu Miu S/S10 collections ("the styling is pretty basic – a jumper and a skirt") everything within Bidault-Waddington’s frame is saturated with the colours of a charmed existence. The young woman in the pictures is the beguiling Ursina Gysi, who has been assisting Bidault-Waddington for the past 18 months. "I love shooting real people wearing timeless things. Ursina is amazing looking and she was so comfortable in front of the camera," says the photographer-stylist. "I love the spirit of the story."
