Limi Feu

thanks scott

I agree... her jackets are just fantastic imo, always have such great cuts and structure. I really like how the fabrics are so light on this one but it's gives off a nice layered effect

I wish I were here to post my latest Limi Feu purchase but I'm flat broke so just giving a heads up that she is scheduled to show in Paris on September 31. I think she was one of the last shows last year but this year she's one of the first so, YAY! Less waiting!

i think her stuff is fun in a cartoonish kind of way...
but more and more i am finding that it's missing the sophistication, refinement and maturity of some of my other faves...
* among them her dad...:innocent:

but i am hoping that she is still growing and that the collections will mature as she does...

I was surprised to see that Forward by Revolve now carries her online. I like the jumpsuit.

F/W 2014

Thank you for reviving this thread. Each year I find at least one Limi piece that I don't know how I lived without.

Still wear my boots from a couple of seasons ago pretty much yearlong.
The boots remind me of the same profile.
Would love to see more full frontal pictures ;-) (although I'm sure the back is just as nice) of Ms. Feu's current work.

you are welcome
yes she did a show again. the audience is those who wear her clothes.

^^that first look runner posted got my attention immediately...
the swingy sweater dress is like a dream and i love the oversized lapels on the coat...
so many easy pieces...
there is a casual cool to the whole thing...

great suede motorcycle boots as well~

there's a lot to love...
i actually like all the looks you posted, runner!
...
i had something like the suspender skirt back in the 80's///but the blouse is special...
the long black dress is especially great...
very cool pockets...
it sort of hurts to look at it though, cause it reminds me that i lost my big black cashmere wrap...
:(...

what kind of size was your wrap?
if the size is about the same and it's black cashmere, can that be anything replacable?
or it's more complicated?

yohji somehow on the bad side

^thanks for the extra pics...
that whole look is very me...
:flower:...

the wrap seems like it would be easy to replace, but maybe i am looking in the wrong places...
it's just a very large black cashmere knit scarf...like a very soft cashmere sweater in the shape of a big, long rectangle...very plain and just very thick, tight knit...
so it was stretchy and drapey, but not droopy- and very, very warm...

tbh- i have been looking for years because i was concerned that something might happen to mine and, since i wear it so often, i wanted to be sure to have a back up, just in case...
(i was afraid of moths- i never thought i'd lose it...)

i find woven cashmere, but not knitted...
i have some nice woven or knitted grey wraps...
but finding black knit has been challenging...
even finding a small one is challenging...
i have a small grey scarf that is similar and one of my fave things...
but it sheds now because it has been washed and worn so much that the fibres are delicate and break off...
i haven't been able to find a suitable replacement for that one either...
i find knits in things like thin modal, etc...but not cashmere...
and not thick and fluffy...

i wonder what these limi ones look like when they are flat?
the size definitely seems the same...
do they have fringe or are they plain, i wonder...
plain is preferable but either one works...
but are they knitted?
hmmm...

hmm I see, seems like it's a bit complicated.
what I remember is that luc had a thick fluffy knitted one that was big enough to be worn as a wrap long skirt too. it came in black if memory serves me right. but it was not cashmere. it was wool/angora as you know, since it was from the signals (morse) collection.

the limi one is ribbed wool.
the shape is a loop worn twisted.

btw, for those who are in tokyo you can try on all the samples this weekend and order anything at seibu, if you are interested.

thanks runner...

i see---a loop...
a loop is annoying...
i never can understand why people like them...
it's fine if the weather is mild, but once it gets cold, it leaves your whole neck exposed and is relatively useless...
the beauty of a wrap is that it can be worn this way but also wrapped high over the neck and shoulders...
i guess it's really a wrap that i wear as a scarf...
lol...

i love the morse code patterns!
especially the numbers...
funny, that i have never seen them laid out that way...
i guess it is because it is enlarged so it becomes blocks rather than dots and dashes...
much easier to see and understand and remember this way...
very cool...
thanks for that...
:flower:

the luc piece looks quite beautiful and luxurious...
maybe not the right shape though...?
:ermm:...

you're welcome softgrey
the shape of the luc one in the pic was like blanket or similar to that waterfall scarf from discord. it was on the big side anyway.

also it came in the other shape which was more of a regular scarf, if I remember rightly.

^^i see...
i'm sure they were both very nice...
everything he does is...

i just saw this info on a blog...
LIMI feu Archives store in Tokyo:
UNLIMITED by LIMI feu
Crecer Daikanyama 1F 7-4 Daikanyama-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo

that seems like an interesting place to explore...
^_^

runner-
thanks for the pics!
it's all nice...
the bag is very cute---
i like that it seems like a clasp purse, but it really isn't...
and i like that the chain comes off...
i love my yohji wallet chain bag, but i can't fit my phone or cigarettes in that, so that's kind of a pain sometimes if i don't have a jacket or pants with pockets...
^_^

about the shoes...
i think there is no question that they are cool and i can imagine they are comfortable enough since they are not so high...

it's funny- because i didn't remember them on the runway-only the moto boots...
so i went and looked at her website and saw that the wedges were only used in one look...
i think they look sexy/cool in a witch-y way...
and i like the way that looked is styled with boyish suspender pants/femme blouse/ sexy shoes + the hat which is sort of a combo of both masc/femme...

i wasn't so sure about them at first because they are so much lower than those AD ones from long ago...
but i think the lower wedge actually makes them cooler, in a way...
because they are not so severe, and therefore more user-friendly, imho...

cool!
:mohawk:
